Willis Surfboards are designed, hand-crafted and individually finished right here in Cornwall. Phil ‘Wippet’ Willis has been shaping surfboards for over twenty years, carving out an underground reputation as a man who can create and finish a seriously high quality surfboard. Using traditional methods, combined wherever possible with the latest modern technologies, construction methods, and ecologically friendly materials and processes; when you buy a Willis Surfboard, you can be sure that plenty of love and attention to detail has gone into it!

In an age where the industry is ruled by mass-produced, fast-finished, buy it, surf it, chuck it away surfboards; its really nice to be able to offer a high quality surfboard that’s been genuinely hand crafted from start to finish by the shaper.

Not only is Wippet a talented surfboard shaper, he’s also a local legend in the water. When he’s not in the workshop putting the hours into his boards, he’s pretty much always out surfing somewhere in Cornwall, usually ripping it apart and putting the younger surfers to shame!

Based on the classic Magic Carpet template from the 70’s, this little beauty is an absolute gem! Designed to be nice and floaty, easy to catch waves on and forgiving in the turn – it’s the ideal choice for progressing surfers looking for something nice and simple to be getting on with. Set up with a central longboard box and FCS side boxes:;you can ride it as a classic single fin set up (nice and loose, aiming for drawn out turns), as a 2+1 (for extra stability and drive) or even as a thruster with a longboard box adaptor… Flexible, classic and beautiful
